Free EPS Packaging Recycling For Households
Drop-Off Locations & Hours
Foamex proudly partners with StyroCycle to provide the public with a free and easy way to recycle household EPS packaging. You can drop off clean polystyrene foam—like the packaging used to protect electronics and appliances—at selected Foamex sites across Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia.
This program is designed to keep EPS out of landfill and repurpose it into new, sustainable products like under-slab insulation, void formers, and other thermally efficient building materials. EPS is 100% recyclable, and at Foamex, we ensure it’s processed into feedstock for use in manufacturing.
IMPORTANT: Polystyrene Packaging Recycling is FREE for occasional users, up to a car boot, ute load, small/medium van, or small trailer load (max 8 ft × 5 ft). Fees apply for regular drop-offs or volumes in excess of these limits. Please find our rates in the Business Recycling section.

- Clean and free of contaminants (no food, sticky tape, labels, or paint)
- Rigid EPS packaging only – no soft foam or foam rubber

Commercial EPS Packaging Recycling
If your business generates large volumes of EPS (expanded polystyrene) packaging, Foamex offers flexible, cost-effective recycling solutions tailored to commercial needs. We work with distributors, retailers, local councils, and waste management companies to recover and recycle EPS used in packaging & logistics.
Service availability by state:
- VIC & SA: Collection and bulk drop-off options available (subject to volume and location).

EPS Waffle Pod Recycling
As proud members of Expanded Polystyrene Australia (EPSA) Foamex makes it simple for builders to recycle leftover EPS from waffle pods. We offer scrap collection, including the supply of scrap bags, tie-downs, and pick-up services. This helps reduce site waste, improve safety, and ensure polystyrene offcuts are reprocessed into new products instead of going to landfill.
